Two ales prevail
Two more awards for Kundmüller Brewery at one of the world’s most renowned beer competitions: Weiherer India Pale Ale and Weiherer Summer Ale received the Bronze medal at the European Beer Star 2019 on November 13 as part of the BrauBeviale in Nuremberg.

Zapfenduster in Weiher
At Kundmüller Brewery, all signs point to “Zapfenduster” right now – at least that’s what they call the latest Weiherer specialty beer here in the regional dialect on account of its “pitch black” color: The new jointly brewed Franconian-Brazilian beer – a special, full-bodied, deep-black Imperial Stout – was recently presented to the public.

Loud drums, confetti and Franconian beer provided the right vibes to dance away the rain in the Kundmüller brewery and country inn on the Brazil Day during the International Week celebrated in the district of Bamberg. A collaboration beer brewed with the Brazilian master brewer Alexandro Bazzo crowned the event.

11 medals at the Craft Beer Awards
Great excitement at the award ceremony of Meininger’s International Craft Beer Award in Neustadt an der Weinstraße: Roland and Oswald Kundmüller went up on stage to receive no less than eleven medals, including two special platinum awards for the Weiherer Bock and the jointly brewed Weiherer/Cervejaria Bamberg Rauchbock (smoked bock beer). “The outcome is simply overwhelming. Now we’ve just got to work out where to hang them all,” said the owners, grinning.
